Over the holiday many families were left feeling anxious after receiving letters from Truro College stating many of the courses were now being offered as three days instead of the five they were expecting. We were pleased to hear many families had contacted the college and the local authority regarding this. We along with other organisations involved with young people had regular contact and meetings both with the local authority and the college to ensure this issue could be resolved. We are glad to report it has for this academic year with those wishing to attend five days it being offered. We had a meeting this week to discuss this not happening again for families in the future.
It had a knock-on effect for transport who were left in a position of not knowing which days young people would need transport for. People are often ready to knock transport but, on this occasion, they sorted most transport requests out within a short timescale.
